New Califa Vendor: Newspaper ARCHIVE

We are happy to announce an agreement with Access NewspaperARCHIVE from Heritage Microfilm for discounted pricing for our members. Access NewspaperARCHIVE is a program that gives public libraries and K-12 schools around the world access to NewspaperARCHIVE.com's historical newspaper database. With this service, students and library patrons can browse tens of millions of newspaper pages in our archive through your institution. Access NewspaperARCHIVE will allow users to view, save and print full-page newspapers dating from 1759 to 1977.

Access NewspaperARCHIVE has a lot to offer your library or classroom, including:

Convenient online access to full-page historical newspapers from across the US, along with papers in the United Kingdom, Canada, Jamaica and other countries

Tens of millions of newspaper pages are available in the online database

Powerful browse tools allow researches to easily look through newspaper pages by date or location

Califa members will be given a 20% discount on their pricing. For a quote, please email me back at hteysko@califa.org.

Trials are available, and there will also be a webinar for interested libraries, next Tuesday, the 29th, at 10am. If you would like to attend the webinar, email hteysko@califa.org with your name, library name, and email address in the body of the message. Login instructions will be sent the day before the webinar.

We look forward to feedback on this product. We could only find one Califa member already subscribing, so it's fairly new, and we are anxious to see what our members think about it.
