Deposit Accounts

One of the benefits of being a Califa member is that all members have deposit accounts.

We can put together an invoice to your specifications, and use your deposit account funds throughout the year to pay for your databases and services.

If you have extra money at the end of the year, you may want to place it in your deposit account.

If you have questions about your deposit account, or would like to know your balance, email Alan Singh at asingh@califa.org

Update on Nooks

After consulting with our legal counsel, at this time, CALIFA will not be offering Nooks as part of our product line.  Legal complaints were filed against two libraries that offered Nooks resulting in settlement agreements to no longer purchase inaccessible e-readers.  Kindles are also inaccessible at present.  The Nooks and Kindles lack voice navigation and therefore, lack accessibility.  When we are assured of improvements to the product, we will reconsider this issue.  Both the Kindle and the Nook app are accessible on IPads and IPods.  As always, our main goal is to provide our members with the best products at the most competitive  aggregate price we can negotiate.  We will continue to monitor the situation and keep you informed as to any changes.
